What's the worst trouble that people have got themselves into while making films, for instance being punched by a criticised actor, breaking rented equipment, losing a tape of footage, rebellious crew, lights falling on an actor, being arrested etc etc etc?

whilst curb crawling in Italy (looking for a prostitute for a shoot http://freespace.virgin.net/sid.scott/MODENA.mov) I was nearly arrested.
Got mugged in Chicago(stills).
The best one (had alot of these again stills)Luggage isn't put on your flight cause of weight restriction or as in the airline GO it disappears never to be seen again (tip always put hire equipment in the hold anything you own goes hand luggage cameras and film then al least you'll be able to do some work)

You name it, its gone wrong on my set.
We've lost cameras, forgotten cameras, had cameras stolen. Lost film, forgotten film. Lost actors, forgotten actors,had actors quit, had actors go into labor. Lost the script(always make a backup copy and put it in a lockbox). Oh yeah we had one guy have an allergic reaction to some makeup and almost die.
Other then that everything goes smoothly

I had a few problems with crew while shooting my current project...
one guy didnt tell me he had a plastic squirrel hanging out of his fly zipper for a few shots (one of which was actually uses, mr. squirrel fortunately out of shot)...
another was when on decided to pull a mooney and run down the whole 500 yard stretch of main road outside my home...
and finally having very strange looks at night from old women walking down a hill when a large guy (in the film) in a trewcnchcoat pulls out a 7" blade... hmm... i had it pretty easy i guess!

Young filmmakers have been put in jail before. I remember reading in the Guerilla's Movie Maker thingy book that Chris Jones spent a night in a cell for something they'd done.

Personally, I haven't been in trouble yet. Well, nothing serious. I remember I was filming a documentary in a mental hospital without permission and a few people told me to stop filming but I carried on.

Ohhh, when we filmed a big building being demolished we were too close and halted the explosion by a couple of minutes, in the end they let us stay where we were. But that wasn't really getting into trouble.

I guess i'm lucky so far. However there are a few things coming up that I gurantee i'll be fined, cautioned or killed for lol.

Oh, that reminds me, not long ago we were location hunting, found a barn which was perfect, stepped outside and 300 feet away were two men with shotguns walking towards us, so we ran, very very fast.

We had a make up artist go to stratford upon avon instead of Stratford in London,

trying to feed 30 crew on about 87p ahead,

Gail force winds, sub zero temperaturs, torrential rain, fangs not sticking, wrong base plate for camera , loosuing a location 4 days before a shoot, not being able to get Beta SP stock , nearly getting all the crew and cast arrested for taking a shower at Norwhich university, Car Crashes and lots more!

A car crash... in the car that, not only was our transport, but also required to be in half the shots.

Taking a three-hour tube journey across London to get film stock, only to find the crew packing up upon my return.

Broke a college camera.

They're just the ones I can think of...
